How much is the travel award?
$200 plus complementary Convention registration

Am I required to volunteer as part of the travel award?
Yes for 1 six-hour onsite shift

When will I be able to apply for the travel award?
Travel award applications open when the Annual Convention call for submissions opens. Applications close February 28th. This is a firm deadline. No late applications will be accepted.

Can I confirm whether or not you received my application?
We cannot confirm receipt of application until the application portal is closed on February 28th.

Can I apply to volunteer without travel assistance?
No. Volunteer shifts are reserved for travel grant award winners.

How are the awards decided?

When will decisions go out?
On or before March 31st.

Should I register for the Convention before receiving notification of the award?
We advise not registering until you receive a decision for the award. If for some reason you do not receive notification of the award before the Early Bird deadline, please register and you will be reimbursed if you are a winner.

What do the volunteer position entail?
Volunteer duties typically include working at the registration desk, providing directions to attendees or completing room counts for various Convention events.

Does APS have any additional travel assistance for students?
No.
