Convention Financial Assistance Programs

Programs Overview

Family Care Assistance

The Family Care Assistance Program defrays family care costs for APS Members and Student Affiliates who are presenting their research at the 2022 APS Annual Convention. These costs can include childcare, elder care, etc. If selected, recipients will receive a $200 USD cash award.

Applicants for Convention Participation Assistance must have a poster, symposium, or flash talk accepted for presentation at the 2022 APS Annual Convention and are required to be registered and paid in full in order to receive the assistance payment.

Student Diversity Registration Award

This award is intended to offset the cost of attending the 2022 APS Annual Convention. Applicants must be from an underrepresented group in psychological science and a current APS student member*. If selected, recipients will receive complimentary registration.

*We recognize that the cost of membership may create an additional barrier to participating in the Convention. If you would like to become an APS member to apply for this award but are unable to afford the cost of dues, please contact the Member Services Team for assistance at member@psychologicalscience.org.
