The differences between people who consider themselves “dog persons” and “cat persons” is a common discussion topic. Research has been conducted using the Big Five Personality Inventory while this study uses Cattell’s 16PF. Data was collected from 600 Midwestern participants. Significant personality differences were found between dog and cat persons.
