We have an immediate opening for a postdoctoral fellow interested in the contextual, cognitive and biological correlates of infant temperament and the development of social competence in childhood. The Child Development Laboratory has a large ongoing NIMH-funded longitudinal study of children who were recruited as infants and have been followed prospectively through early childhood and elementary school. Children are currently being assessed at 12-13 years of age. The study has collected multiple measures across a number of domains (caregiving and school context, cognitive processes, temperament, and physiology). We are seeking someone interested in working on these data examining questions related to the continuity and discontinuity of temperament and social behavior over time. Experience with longitudinal data analyses during developmental transitions would be a particular asset for this position. Interested persons should send a CV and letter to Nathan Fox:
