Can optimism improve your physical health?

 

Yes! At five times during their first year of law school, students completed questionnaires about optimism for their performance in school and received skin tests that measure cellular immune function. As optimistic expectancies increased, so did cellular immune response, while during pessimistic moments, immune responses were not as strong.
