| The National Center for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, Dissemination and Training (D & T) Division, focuses on implementation research, and education and training related to advancing the clinical care and social welfare of America's Veterans and others who have experienced trauma, or those who suffer from PTSD and stress-related disorders. We are also invested in understanding how to influence health care systems and policy, create products, and use technology to provide the best care for Veterans. The individual selected for this position will step into an environment defined by progressive thinking and state-of-the-art application of science related to the understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of PTSD. The phone apps clinical psychologist will lead development of smartphone apps to aid in the recovery of people living with PTSD. Our Division has already developed several smartphone apps to help people manage mental health symptoms or to support delivery of evidence-based psychotherapies. Our PTSD Coach app has been downloaded over 120,000 times in 77 countries. The individual selected for this position will possess strong expertise in smartphone app development, web-based intervention, and/or instructional design to serve as the lead content expert in refining our existing apps and developing new products. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and licensed clinical psychologists.
