| The Department of Psychology at Dickinson College invites applications for a one-year, sabbatical replacement as a Visiting Assistant Professor in EXPERIMENTAL psychology beginning fall 2014. Area of specialty is not specified, but courses taught must be in the field of cognitive processes, applied behavioral analysis, comparative psychology, or learning and conditioning.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. (or be ABD) in Psychology or a related field such as Cognitive Science or Behavioral Science. We expect a strong commitment to teaching in a liberal arts environment and the ability to involve undergraduates in research. Teaching load is five courses for the year. Our largest sections have a capacity of 35 students. The ability to create inclusive learning environments for an increasingly diverse student body will be an important characteristic of the successful candidate.
Dickinson College is a highly selective four-year, independent liberal arts college with 2300 students. It is located 20 minutes west of Harrisburg, PA, and a two-hour drive from Baltimore, Washington, and Philadelphia.
