| The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College invites applications for a full-time tenure track Assistant Professor of Psychology position for the Behavioral Sciences Department. The areas of teaching for the respective position include, but are not limited to, Introduction to Psychology 1001, Human Development, Behavioral Statistics and/or Psychological Research Methods. In addition, there are possibilities to teach electives such as Personality, Social Psych, Abnormal Psych, Interpersonal Psych, etc. Other responsibilities include student advising, committee work, participation in departmental and college service, program coordination, and involvement in scholarly research and professional development fitting with the department philosophy.
Position Qualification: Earned doctoral degree in relevant discipline with at least 1 year of relevant full-time, college-level teaching in Introduction to Psychology is required. In addition, we should see evidence of college/department service contributions and research either in psychology or in the scholarship of teaching and learning.
Ideal Qualifications: In addition to the minimum qualifications, experience teaching psychology at an open-access college, a background in online/hybrid teaching, and experience teaching in the areas of Research Methods and Statistics would be ideal. Also, we expect instructors to include strategies to support under-prepared students and improve their retention.
