Tenure Track Psychology Professor

The Department of Psychology at Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, Georgia, invites applications for a tenure track faculty position in Psychology beginning in the fall for the 2014-2015 academic year. Candidates will be expected to teach general psychology, developmental psychology, and other lower division courses, as well as upper division courses in one or two specialty areas based on the candidate’s expertise. While we are looking for a generalist, preference will be given to candidates with expertise in behavioral neuroscience, physiological or experimental psychology. In addition, the faculty member will advise students, contribute to departmental activities (e.g., Psi Chi sponsorship), and contribute to the institution through committee participation. The successful candidate will have the ability to teach effectively, interpret psychology from a biblical worldview, and expand the depth and breadth of the department with curricular or programmatic enhancements that enrich students’ experiences with psychology.

Doctorate required, ABD considered. Rank and compensation will be commensurate with experience. Interested and qualified candidates should send the following documentation to Dr. Jeff Hall:
