The Department of Social Sciences at the University of South Carolina Beaufort invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor Faculty position in Psychology beginning in Fall 2014. The Department offers four degree programs: B.S. in Human Services, B.A. in Psychology, B.A. in Sociology, and a new B.A. in Communications Studies. The University of South Carolina Beaufort is the newest and fastest growing baccalaureate degree-granting campus in the USC System. USCB is located in South Carolina's coastal islands, close to Hilton Head Island, Charleston, and Savannah, Georgia.

We seek candidates who have or will have by Fall 2014 an earned doctorate in a recognized area of psychology. The area of specialization within the discipline is open; however, we prefer candidates who have teaching experience in core courses and who can document excellence or promise of excellence in classroom instruction. The successful candidate for the 9-month appointment will teach a 4-4 course load consisting of required and elective undergraduate courses, supervise undergraduate research, and maintain a program of scholarly research that is commensurate with their teaching load.

Final candidates will be required to submit official transcripts.
