Assistant Professor of Psychology in the area of Applied Behavior Analysis

The Department of Psychology, California State University, Los Angeles, seeks to fill a tenure-track position appointment in Applied Behavior Analysis beginning Fall 2014. A Ph.D. or ABD from an accredited institution of higher education is required for retention beyond the initial appointment. Candidates should be certified by the Behavior Analysis Certification Board and have the ability and interest to teach a broad range of courses in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), including courses in single-case research design, autism, and a supervision course for ABA Master’s students. Candidates should provide a record of or potential for scholarly activity involving students whenever possible, as well as the demonstrated potential for effective teaching using a variety of methodologies. Candidates should also demonstrate an ability or interest in teaching at a multicultural, multiethnic campus. In addition to teaching, duties include supervision of M.S. students in the department’s ABA program, student advisement, co-direction of the ABA program, and committee service for the Department, College of Natural and Social Sciences, and the University. Engagement in research activities leading to publications in peer-reviewed journals is required for tenure.
