| The Department of Psychology at Cleveland State University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor who specializes in SOCIAL PSYCHOLOGY. Individuals who specialize in any area of social psychology will be considered. The primary responsibilities of the appointee will be to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in social psychology and to conduct a research program that will include mentoring undergraduate and graduate students and advising theses. Additional responsibilities will include teaching other undergraduate and graduate courses in the appointee's areas of competence and interest; and department, college, and/or university service. In addition to its undergraduate program, the Psychology Department offers a doctoral program in Adult Development and Aging (in collaboration with the University of Akron); a Psychology Specialist program in school psychology; and master's programs for students concentrating in clinical psychology, cognitive/experimental psychology, consumer/industrial/organizational psychology, and diversity management. Completion of all requirements for a doctoral degree in psychology or closely related field by July 1, 2014.
Teaching interests in social psychology; record of scholarship commensurate with experience; experience with or potential for securing external funding for research program.
