The Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at the University of Louisville invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in Behavioral Brain Imaging beginning July 1, 2014. The successful applicant will be the inaugural holder of an Endowed Chair that will confer annual discretionary research funds. Successful candidates will have an active research program, demonstrate promise of attracting extramural funding, and contribute to undergraduate and graduate teaching and mentoring of doctoral students. The University of Louisville features a state-of-the-art MRI facility with a research-dedicated Skyra 3 Tesla Siemens scanner. Only applicants who use fMRI as a core methodological tool will be considered, but they may use other complementary techniques in addition. We seek a colleague with expertise in the neuroscience of attention, executive function, or affective processes. Preference will be given to applicants whose research complements existing departmental strengths in cognition, development, hearing and vision sciences, clinical science, and mental health disparities. Those conducting research with applied or translational components are especially encouraged to apply.
