| The Psychology department anticipates hiring 2 tenure-track Assistant Professors: one in the Psychology of Children with Exceptionalities and one in Neuroscience, available Fall 2014. Successful candidates will be responsible for a 3-3 teaching load in applicant’s areas of expertise, a capstone course and a research-related writing-intensive course. They will be expected to develop or continue a program of active research preferably involving undergraduate research assistants. Additional responsibilities include service on departmental and college committees, student advisement and a commitment to undergraduate education.
Required Qualifications: Ph.D. by time of appointment.
Preferred Qualifications: Position 1) Ph.D. in psychology with expertise in Psychology of Children with Exceptionalities (with abilities to teach at least three of the following courses: applied behavioral analysis/behavioral management, intellectual disabilities and autism, educational psychology, behavioral disorders in schools, psychology of language and related courses). Position 2) Ph.D. in psychology with expertise in Neuroscience (with the ability to teach at least three of the following courses: behavioral neuroscience, learning, sensation/perception, statistics and related courses). Evidence of quality teaching at the undergraduate level and demonstration of an active research program preferred for each position.
