Centenary College of Louisiana invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor in the Department of Psychology. An ideal candidate would demonstrate excellence in teaching and scholarship, particularly scholarship involving student collaborators. Area of specialization is open, though candidates with expertise in clinical or counseling psychology, or those who add to the breadth of the department are particularly encouraged to apply.

Centenary College of Louisiana is a selective, residential, national liberal arts college affiliated with the United Methodist Church. Founded in 1825, it is the oldest chartered liberal arts college west of the Mississippi river and is a member of the Associated Colleges of the South.

The Department of Psychology at Centenary consists of three faculty members and houses one of the largest majors on campus. Potential for research collaboration exists with our Neuroscience program (housed in the Department of Biology) and the local LSU Health Shreveport. Applicants for the position should have earned an doctorate in psychology or related field from a regionally accredited institution. Applications will be reviewed beginning November 1st and will continue until the position is filled.
