| Hendrix College Department of Psychology invites applicants for a tenure-track position to begin in August, 2014. We are seeking candidates with a background in experimental psychology with interests in any area of Neuroscience, including Cognitive, Social, Developmental, and Clinical Neuroscience. Teaching responsibilities will include some combination of the following courses: Introduction to Psychology, an introductory course in Neuroscience, Statistics, Research Methods with laboratory, a class in the candidate’s specialty area, an advanced research course, and a rotating seminar or capstone course in the developing Neuroscience program. Teaching responsibilities will also support the neuroscience program. The teaching load is six courses per year. Our department has a long tradition of emphasizing undergraduate research; the College’s Odyssey Program currently provides excellent opportunities for collaborative research with students. Ph.D. is required for appointment as assistant professor; ABD’s will be considered for appointment as instructor. Salary is competitive.
