| The Department of Psychology at Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, IN, is seeking applicants for a tenure-track neuroscience position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Psychology that will begin in Fall 2014. The specific area of focus in neuroscience is open; we welcome applicants with training in any area of neuroscience, including cognitive, behavioral, affective, social, developmental, or clinical neuroscience. We seek candidates with a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring undergraduates, and the ability to establish and maintain a productive research program that involves our highly motivated undergraduate students. A Ph.D. in Psychology, Neuroscience, or related field is preferred; however, candidates that are A.B.D. will be considered.
This position has been designated as an Eli Lilly New Faculty Scholars Fellowship, which provides $12,000 start up funding and three course reductions over the first three years. New Faculty Scholars are also eligible to apply for and receive internal funding for teaching and research development.
Teaching responsibilities primarily include undergraduate courses on the biological basis of human behavior (e.g., Physiological Psychology, Biopsychology), Introduction to Psychology, and the development of topical undergraduate courses in the candidate’s area of expertise.
