Advertisement for Counseling/Clinical Psychology position at The University of Texas of the Permian Basin:

The Psychology Department at The University of Texas of the Permian Basin is pleased to announce an opening for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate professor beginning either August, 2014, or, if possible, January, 2014. We are seeking candidates with a PhD in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from APA-approved programs and eligibility for licensure in Texas. The specialty is open but the ability to engage in a productive program of research is expected. Research experience is desired. This position may include teaching undergraduate courses in research methods, introductory, personality, and abnormal psychology, and graduate courses in ethics, clinical practicum, and intellectual and personality assessment. Other courses to be taught would reflect the candidate’s areas of interest. The Psychology Dept. has 7 full-time faculty, over 300 undergraduate majors, and roughly 50 master’s degree graduate students. In addition to teaching, faculty members are required to develop productive research agendas, encouraged to pursue research funding through grant development, and provide departmental, college and university services.
