The psychology program is one of the largest majors on campus. It is a program that establishes the preparatory foundations for study and application in the 'science of behavior and mental processes.' The emphasis on psychology's science-based identity is universal in psychology with the goal of exposing students to a broad base of psychological theory, methods, research, and application.
CSUMB is located one mile from Monterey Bay, home of the largest marine sanctuary on the West Coast. Nearby is world-famous Big Sur, Carmel-by-the-Sea and Pebble Beach.
