| The Department of Psychology at THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY seeks outstanding candidates for two faculty positions for individuals using brain imaging methodologies. For the position in (1) cognitive neuroscience, candidates investigating any area of higher order cognitive or mental processes (e.g., learning and memory, decision making) who use functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) as a core methodological tool are encouraged to apply. For the position in (2) social neuroscience, candidates investigating any area within social psychology (e.g., attitudes, social cognition, relationships, etc.) who use fMRI as a core methodological tool are welcome. A state of the art MRI facility with a research dedicated Siemens Trio scanner including all of the necessary ancillary equipment to conduct both structural and functional imaging studies opened within the psychology building in 2011. Pending the availability of funds, these tenure-track positions may be filled with a person at any career stage. Applicants must have earned a Ph.D. in psychology or a related field prior to the employment start date. All applicants are expected to have strong and fundable research programs and to contribute to both graduate and undergraduate supervision and instruction. All applicants should submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, and three letters of recommendation. Junior candidates should also include selected reprints and a statement of research and teaching interests.
