| The Department of Psychology at Bridgewater State University is pleased to announce a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Psychology to start Fall 2014. This position requires teaching Psychology of Learning, Behavior Therapy, and other courses in the area of specialization along with various service courses in the department such as Introductory Psychology, Statistics, Research Methods, and our orientation course for majors. Other responsibilities include engaging in scholarly activity, advising undergraduate students, mentoring undergraduate research, and providing service to the university. Opportunities to teach and/or supervise in our terminal Master's degree program in clinical psychology also exist.
Required Minimum Qualifications
ABD applicants will be considered, but must have completed the Ph.D. from an Experimental or Clinical Psychology program with a specialization in learning and behavior before September 1, 2014. Applicants should have the ability to meet the responsibilities identified above and present evidence of excellent teaching, advising, scholarship, and service effectiveness. Applicants must have experience as the primary instructor for at least one psychology course to be considered eligible for this position. Applicants should be strongly committed to excellence in teaching and advising, and to working in a multicultural environment that fosters diversity. They should also have the ability to use technology effectively in teaching and learning, the ability to work collaboratively, evidence of scholarly activity, and a commitment to public higher education.
Preference will be given to applicants who are willing and able to teach Research Methods, whose teaching and scholarly interests complement those of the department, and who provide evidence of a commitment to involving students in scholarship.
