| TENURE-TRACK POSITION IN PSYCHOLOGY AND AGING POPULATIONS POSITION DESCRIPTION SEARCH 17.13 SAN FRANCISCO STATE UNIVERSITY, DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY invites applicants for a tenure- track Assistant or Associate Professor position in Psychology and Aging Populations beginning August 2014. Candidates are preferred who have teaching and/or research experience with a large, diverse student body. SFSU faculty are expected to be effective teachers and demonstrate professional achievement and growth through research, scholarship, and/or creative work. Qualifications We seek an outstanding scholar engaged in high impact research on Psychology and Aging Populations to enhance and complement the department’s current areas of expertise. Candidates must have a Ph.D., and the degree area and teaching interests should fall within one or more of our departmental concentrations: clinical, developmental, forensic, industrial/organizational, mind/brain/behavior, school and social. Research on aging populations may fit into or cut across these concentrations or may encompass related themes such as health or diversity. Responsibilities The position requires graduate and undergraduate teaching, developing a research lab in which undergraduate and graduate students are mentored, and developing an externally funded research program. Collaborations on campus and with other institutions are encouraged. Rank and Salary Assistant or Associate Professor. Salary is negotiated and commensurate with experience.
