The Department of Psychology at the University of Delaware invites applications for a Continuing Non-Tenure-Track position in the Clinical Science Program to begin September 1, 2013. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide leadership for clinical science practicum training and intervention research. We are seeking an individual experienced in evidence-based intervention techniques and with a strong interest in moving interventions from the lab/clinic to the community. The Clinical Science Program at the University of Delaware is a member of the Academy of Psychological Clinical Science and is accredited by both the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System and the APA.
Responsibilities will include: 1) directing the Psychological Services Training Center (PSTC), 2) development of community outreach for training and clinical research activities, including fostering externally-funded clinical research initiatives, 3) supervising predoctoral psychology students in clinical training, and 4) teaching graduate and undergraduate courses. We are particularly interested in candidates with the experience and expertise to integrate the PSTC with the goals of the Delaware Project (www.delawareproject.org) and the Center for Training, Evaluation, and Community Collaboration (C-TECC), whose mission is to conduct community-based research and evaluation, as well as train community providers in evidence-based practices.
Qualifications include a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology; interest in implementing and evaluating evidence-based practices in state and local healthcare systems; license-eligibility in the State of Delaware; training and clinical experience in evidence-based services; experience in university-level teaching; and evidence of research potential.
