The School of Psychological Sciences (SoPS) invites applications for two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions beginning August 2013.
Both positions involve developing a research program; chairing doctoral dissertations and/or MA theses; and service to the unit, University, and profession. Position 1: Responsibilities include teaching within the new, science-based undergraduate program in two or more of the following areas: biological psychology, research methods, and statistics. Additional responsibilities include teaching an undergraduate capstone course and a graduate course in an area of interest. Position 2: Responsibilities include teaching within the clinical psychology graduate program in the areas of psychological assessment and research methods.
Qualifications. Position 1: Preference will be given to applicants with a doctorate in psychology with an emphasis in quantitative or physiological psychology. Position 2: Preference will be given to applicants with a doctorate in clinical psychology who are licensed or license-eligible For both positions, ABDs may be considered with the expectation of degree completion prior to the start date. Demonstrated or potential excellence in teaching, research, obtaining grant funding, and mentoring students is expected. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
