| The chosen candidate would join a close, collegial department consisting of 9 faculty members from different disciplines including anthropology, English, psychology, religious studies, philosophy, sociology, and health service administration. The successful candidate will hold a PhD in psychology. Expertise in Developmental Psychology and college teaching experience are preferred. Special consideration will be given to applicants with successful on-line teaching experience. The primary responsibilities of this position will be teaching introductory psychology as well as various developmental psychology courses (Psychology across the Life Span, Child Psychology, Psychology of Adolescence, & Psychology of Aging) and developing new psychology courses, particularly for online delivery. These courses will serve students seeking a Baccalaureate degree in Liberal Studies with a Psychology concentration, as well as students seeking degrees in other academic and professional programs. In addition to contributing to online instruction, the selected candidate will be expected to provide service to the College and community. A commitment to diversity and an appreciation for Catholic higher education and the institution’s Franciscan values are required, as well as a desire to engage in interdisciplinary collaboration and a willingness to use innovative pedagogical and technological tools.
