| DENISON UNIVERSITY. The Department of Psychology at Denison University, a selective and nationally ranked liberal arts college located in Granville, OH, 30 miles east of Columbus, invites applications for a 9-month non-tenure track Visiting Assistant Professor position to begin in the Fall semester of 2013. The position is full-time, with a teaching load of three courses per semester. We seek candidates with teaching and research interests in any area of psychology. All applicants must have a Ph.D. in Psychology or dissertation completed by the time of appointment. Candidates should have prior experience teaching Introductory Psychology, demonstrate strong teaching skills, and have a clear motivation to teach undergraduates in a liberal arts environment. Anticipated teaching responsibilities include Introductory Psychology, which includes a weekly laboratory component, as well as a topical course that corresponds with the candidate’s specialty area. Other possible courses include Research Methods, topical courses from within our curriculum, and/or a seminar in the candidate’s area of expertise. The department’s research and computing facilities could potentially support the candidate’s scholarship, and supervision of student research is possible.
