| Assistant Professor in Clinical Psychology. The Psychology Department at Rowan University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor faculty position in Clinical Psychology to begin Fall 2013. The area of specialization within clinical psychology is open, but strong preference will be given to candidates who can teach cognitive assessment and neuropsychological assessment at the doctoral level and have interests in Health Psychology and/or Clinical-Child Psychology. Minimum qualifications for this position include: a doctoral degree from an APA-accredited program in Clinical psychology, completion of an APA-accredited internship, and licensure (or eligibility) as a psychologist in New Jersey. The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, supervise clinical practica, and maintain an active program of research that includes students. In addition, the successful candidate will participate in service to the department and university, including the development of our proposed Psy.D. program in Clinical Psychology. The position requires evidence of excellence in teaching and for establishing a productive program of research that is competitive for external funding. Rowan University is a selective, medium-sized public university located in Glassboro, New Jersey, 20 minutes southeast of Philadelphia. The Department of Psychology currently offers Masters’ degrees and advanced graduate certificate programs in Applied Behavior Analysis, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and School Psychology and we are in the process of developing a Psy.D. program in Clinical Psychology with concentrations in general clinical, health, and behavior analysis. In addition to the Department’s graduate programs, we have a thriving undergraduate program with over 700 undergraduate majors and an undergraduate specialization in applied behavior analysis. The University also enrolled its first cohort of medical students into The Cooper Medical School of Rowan University this Fall. Ample opportunities for collaboration with colleagues in the medical school and the Delaware Valley area are available.
