| The Department of Psychology at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Biopsychology to begin September 1, 2013, pending authorization. This is a university-year appointment. We encourage applications from scientists who conduct research in any area of Biopsychology, from behavioral neuroscience to evolutionary and comparative biopsychology. The specific area of research interest is open, but preference will be given to individuals who conduct laboratory studies or combine laboratory and naturalistic studies. Applicants who conduct systems/circuit-level neuroscience will also be considered.
Successful candidates must have a Ph.D. in a relevant discipline (e.g. Psychology, Neuroscience) by the time the position starts, must have a commitment to undergraduate and graduate teaching, and will be expected to establish an independent research program. Please submit a letter of intent, curriculum vitae, a statement of current and future research plans, a statement of teaching philosophy and experience (including any evidence of teaching excellence), and representative publications.
