Angelo State University The Department of Psychology, Sociology, and Social Work invites applications for a tenure-track position in Clinical or Counseling Psychology at the rank of Assistant Professor. Employment begins in August 2013. A Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology from an APA accredited program is preferred, but ABD will be considered if degree can be completed within first year of appointment. Responsibilities include teaching basic and advanced undergraduate courses and graduate courses in clinical/counseling psychology; conduct research along the lines of the candidate’s professional interests; and supervise students’ research. The department offers baccalaureate degrees in psychology, sociology, and social work and master's degrees in applied psychology, counseling psychology, and I-O psychology. There are 15 full-time faculty, 600 undergraduate majors, and about 130 graduate students. The University is a branch campus in the Texas Tech University System and has a modern, attractive campus that serves more than 6,500 students.
