| North Central College invites applications for a tenure track position in Neuroscience to begin September 1, 2013. The successful candidate will help to initiate and guide our new integrative Neuroscience program (http://northcentralcollege.edu/major/neuroscience), teaching courses in neuroscience and other courses that match the candidate's expertise. The specific neuroscience area is open. A Ph.D. is required and appointment at the assistant professor level is anticipated, though higher ranks may be considered for suitably qualified applicants. Applicants should exhibit a potential for excellence in undergraduate teaching and mentoring, as well as a commitment to scholarship that includes collaborative research with undergraduates. The successful candidate will be expected to teach introductory and junior level neuroscience courses (with labs), and other courses such as General Psychology, Drugs & Behavior, Statistics, Research Design & Experimentation, or other courses in the candidate's specialty area. Applicants will have opportunities to contribute to an interdisciplinary general education program.
