| The Macalester College Psychology Department seeks candidates for a tenure-track assistant professor position in Social Psychology (area of specialization open) for appointment in the fall term of 2013. Responsibilities include teaching in the research methodology and statistics sequence – a central part of our department curriculum – as well as intermediate and advanced level courses in one’s area of specialization. The typical teaching load is five courses per year. Excellent start-up funds and lab facilities will be provided. The person hired will have the opportunity to contribute to a curriculum informed by Macalester’s core values of multiculturalism, internationalism, and civic engagement and to collaborate with colleagues from other departments on campus as well as with agencies, organizations, and universities in the Twin Cities. Candidates should have a Ph.D., and preference will be given to gifted teachers and scholars who can involve undergraduate students in their research.
