FACULTY POSITION
The Department of Psychological Sciences at Purdue University invites applications for a tenure-track position in Behavioral Neuroscience at the Assistant Professor level beginning in the Fall of 2013. The successful candidate should have a Ph.D. in psychology, neuroscience, or related field of research, a strong publication history, a research program with high likelihood of external funding, and a potential for teaching and mentoring excellence. Faculty responsibilities will include maintaining a productive research program, directing graduate student research, and teaching undergraduate and graduate courses. Special focus within Behavioral Neuroscience is open, but we are particularly interested in individuals who have both the potential for scholarly contributions as well as research overlap with faculty in one or more other areas of our department (Clinical Psychology; Cognitive Psychology; Developmental Psychology; Industrial/Organizational Psychology; Learning and Memory; Mathematical and Computational Cognitive Science; and Social Psychology) and the campus community (e.g., Integrative Neuroscience Program; Ingestive Behavior Research Center; etc.). A background check will be required for employment in this position. Application review will begin October 15, 2012, but applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
