| The Department of Behavioral Sciences invites applications for a tenure-track position in Social Psychology to begin January, 2013. Strong preference will be given to candidates with a commitment to excellence in teaching and the ability to involve undergraduates in research. The area of research is open. Teaching includes Social Psychology and Introductory Psychology, with other courses to be chosen based on departmental needs and candidate interests. The ability to teach Lifespan Developmental Psychology and/or Experimental Psychology is a plus, as is an interest in developing a non-majors course in U.S. or Global studies. Duties include academic advising and direction of senior capstone research projects. Ph.D. required by January, 2013. Millikin University is a private, comprehensive institution serving approximately 2,300 undergraduate, graduate, full-time and part-time students who study in four colleges/schools: Arts and Sciences, Business, Fine Arts and Professional Studies. Situated on an attractive seventy-acre campus in Decatur, Illinois (population of 85,000), Millikin is located 180 miles southwest of Chicago, 150 miles west of Indianapolis, and 120 miles northeast of St. Louis.
