Queen’s University Belfast, one of the top 20 research intensive Universities in the UK, has committed significant new investment to the School of Psychology to build on areas of research excellence. Research in the School is cutting edge, internationally recognised and informs policy and practice at national and local levels.

As part of its strategic development, the School is seeking to appoint a Chair in Social/Political Psychology. It also seeks to appoint to 6 new posts, one of which will be at a Senior Lecturer Level, in the following areas in which the School has particular research strengths:
• Social/Political Psychology
• Psychobiology and/or Animal Behaviour
• Cognition and Development
• Perception, Action and Communication
• Health Psychology

Salary scales:
Salary for the Professorial position will be determined in accordance with the appropriate Professorial ranges as applied within the University.
Senior Lecturer: £46,846 - £59,303 per annum (including contribution points)
Lecturer: £32,901 - £48,246 per annum (including contribution points)
