Convention Video: Developmental Predictors of Linguistic Complexity in a Narrative Task

A narrative competence task was administered to neurotypical children to determine the nature of the relationship between developmental age and spontaneous narrative ability. Specifically, we investigated correlations between children’s developmental age and their linguistic complexity as they delivered a story to a listener.
