There are two positions available for a Project Coordinator/Postdoctoral Fellow in a lab conducting several federally funded studies focused on the relationship between posttraumatic stress disorder and family violence among combat veterans. Responsibilities will be divided across two positions and may include: recruiting and screening potential study participants, conducting semi-structured diagnostic interviews, serving as a co-facilitator for clinical trial groups, supervising research assistants, preparing IRB review materials, assisting with writing reports for oversight and funding organizations, creating new datasets, managing pre-existing data sets, conducting data analyses and consultation for lab projects, assisting with presentation and manuscript preparation, and providing general support for the coordination of clinical trials. Clinical hours and supervision for licensure are available through the VA Boston clinical research fellowship program.

The successful candidate will be a United States citizen and have a doctoral degree in clinical psychology or a closely related field (i.e., counseling psychology) from an APA-accredited program. The candidate also will have completed an APA-accredited professional psychology internship training program. Candidates that are scheduled to complete an internship by August 31, 2012 are also welcome to apply. The candidate should have solid knowledge of research methodology and should be organized, detail-oriented, have strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Experience in program coordination or management is also required. The candidate should be willing to travel to other project sites in Providence, RI and Northampton, MA. Experience with clinical trials or large research studies, particularly in recruitment, and interest in the study of family violence is preferred. Expertise in psychophysiological assessment or statistics a plus. Commitment of one year is required.
