The Behavioural Science Institute (Radboud University, The Netherlands) is offering six postdoctoral fellowships for talented PhDs with a strong record in research who aspire a research career in the behavioural sciences. We are looking for excellence in research and clear future promise in research. International candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. The fellowships include a salary for two years and a budget for research expenses. These positions will begin January 1, 2015.
Candidates are expected to write a 1500-word research proposal that aligns with one of more of the Behavioural Science Institute’s research areas. Proposals may include a research budget of up to €10,000. If the project requires additional funding to be successful, this should be indicated in the proposal by a clear rationale. Proposals must address clear research questions, research methodology and analyses, and expected results. Proposals must be independently written by the applicant. There are opportunities for both fundamental and translational research. Proposals that may lead to further external funding during or after the fellowship period are especially encouraged.
The Behavioural Science Institute is a multidisciplinary research institute including psychology, educational science, and communication science. The BSI has seven research programmes covering three major research themes: 1) development and learning; 2) psychopathology, health and well-being; and 3) social processes and communication. The BSI has state-of-the-art research facilities for observational studies, experiments, eye-tracking studies, EEG measurements and GSR recording, psychobiological research, and behavioural measurements in both real and 3D virtual environments. The neuroimaging facilities of the Donders Centre for Cognitive Neuroimaging, fMRI, MEG and TMS are available for research on the neural bases of behaviour.
