The Department of Occupational and Environmental Health in the College of Public Health at the University of Iowa seeks a postdoctoral research scholar who will contribute to ongoing research, education, and outreach activities focused on occupational and environmental health issues in a diverse workforce. The primary responsibility of the position is to assist in the delivery and subsequent analysis of results from cognitive and neurological testing of participants in a study of adverse health effects of environmental contamination. The position is offered for one year and is renewable for up to three years, based on mutual agreement. Travel for out-of-state field-based research is required.
Education Requirement: A doctoral degree in Psychology, Epidemiology, Occupational and Environmental Health or other related field is required.
Required Qualifications: Research experience in public health or related research experience. Demonstrated ability to work independently and to adapt to variable work settings. Demonstrated ability to analyze research data and prepare manuscripts for publication.
Desirable Qualifications: Experience administering cognitive and peripheral nervous system tests and conducting field-based research among human populations.
