Research Laboratory in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience at Baylor University is pleased to announce the availability of a Postdoctoral research fellowship. The fellowship has a minimum duration of one year (June 1, 2014 through May 31, 2015) and may be extended for a second year. It is designed to provide training in clinical research and health psychology. The Fellow will have an opportunity to a) participate in ongoing research projects; b) initiate independent research projects; c) prepare manuscripts for publication; and d) assist with preparation of federal grants under the guidance of a senior investigator. Areas of research include the application of hypnosis in women’s health care, improving sleep, identification of biomarkers of stress and fatigue, and emotional distress (e.g., anxiety, depression). Applicants should have or soon expect to complete their Ph.D. degree in psychology or a related discipline, but are not expected to necessarily have specific prior expertise in hypnosis, mind-body therapies, or biomarkers of stress.
