The Midwest Eating Disorders NIMH T32 Postdoctoral Fellowship is seeking candidates for 2-3 vacant positions starting Summer 2014 (pending renewal of funding). These T32 Research Fellowships are open to postdoctoral candidates who are United States citizens or Permanent Residents of the US, and are part of three sites (Dr. Scott Crow, PI at the University of Minnesota; Dr. Daniel Le Grange, Site Director at The University of Chicago; and Dr. Stephen Wonderlich, Site Director at the Neuropsychiatric Research Institute in Fargo, ND). Successful candidates will join other Fellows at Minnesota, Chicago, and NRI. Postdoctoral Fellows will participate in her/his own research with a mentor at their primary site as well as a secondary mentor(s) at one or both other sites. Multiple data sets across the three sites are available for collaborative research, and all Fellows from all three sites participate in weekly videoconference didactics, research presentations, and journal club. In addition, all Fellows and faculty across the three sites meet in person three times per year for fellowship updates.

Candidates must have a PhD and/or MD in a relevant field (i.e., clinical, counseling or health psychology, psychiatry, nutrition, social work, epidemiology) and a specific interest in establishing themselves as researchers in eating disorders. The positions are supported by a NIMH T32 Training Grant and follow the appropriate NIH stipend levels for 1-5 years. The positions are tailor-made for competitive applications for the NIH Loan Repayment Program, and are ideal for persons pursuing clinical-research and/or basic science careers. Extensive mentoring opportunities for publication and grant-writing exist with faculty across the three sites. Interested candidates should send a CV, statement of interest, and three letters of recommendation by email to: Scott Crow, M.D., Professor of Psychiatry, University of Minnesota, (, as well as the appropriate site director. Application deadline is January 15, 2014.
