Postdoc Description
Wayne State University (WSU) School of Medicine Pediatric Prevention Research Center (PPRC) invites applications for one post-doctoral research fellow position. The qualified candidate will be expected to participate in NIH-funded research projects working with children and family affected by HIV/AIDS in China. The primary responsibility includes, but is not limited to, data analysis, literature review, preparation of manuscripts and grant applications, and other related tasks. We are seeking highly motivated candidate with long-term interest in a research career in an academic setting. The applicants must have a doctoral degree in psychology, sociology, education, public health, nursing, or related fields by the time of appointment. Other qualifications include advanced training in research methodology and statistics, strong analytic skills, ability to work independently, effective organizational and communication skills, and proficiency in SPSS or other statistical programming. Previous research experiences in child development or psychosocial intervention are preferred. The position is renewable contingent upon the job performance and availability of funding.
