A postdoctoral position is currently available in the Lahav Lab for Neonatal Research at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School.

Our work is focused on studying the effects of the sensory environment in the neonatal intensive care unit on early brain maturation and long-term outcomes in extremely premature infants. The main research question we would like to answer is how different types of prenatal experience spill over and affect postnatal development. We develop clinical protocols and technological innovations with the goal of enriching the NICU environment with biological reproduction of the maternal womb-like experience.

Candidates should have a PhD and/or MD with proven background in developmental psychology, child development, epidemiology, pediatrics, perinatal medicine, clinical trials, auditory neuroscience, brain imaging, audiology, biomedical engineering, or a related field. The ideal applicant will have extensive background in multivariate statistics and strong publication record.
