A Postdoctoral Position in structural and functional MRI is available at the Rochester Center for Brain Imaging, University of Rochester, New York. Applicants should have interest in cognitive neuroscience and expertise using some combination of the following MRI methods: multi-voxel pattern analysis, functional connectivity, independent/principal components analysis, cortical thickness analysis, voxel based morphometry, diffusion tensor imaging.
The successful applicant will work collaboratively with Dr. Bradford Mahon & Dr. Jessica Cantlon on the topic of the organization of conceptual knowledge in the brain (caoslab.bcs.rochester.edu). The successful applicant will also have a small bank of MRI scanner hours for independent research. Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in psychology, neuroscience, cognitive science, BME, computer science or a closely related discipline. Successful candidates will develop a vigorous research program that contributes to, and complements, ongoing research studies in the CAOs Lab. Successful candidates will also contribute to the academic community though interactions with the broader faculty, students, and trainees. The term of the appointment is two years.
