The School of Social Sciences at the University of Mannheim invites applications for the position of Full Professor in Quantitative Methods in the Social Sciences (W3, Chair) at the Graduate School of Economic & Social Sciences (GESS). The position is temporary until 31 Oct 2017 and may become permanent afterwards. The candidate will primarily teach graduate courses in quantitative methods at the Center for Doctoral Studies in Social and Behavioral Sciences (CDSS), and will play an active role in the development of the study program. Applicants’ research activities should be in political sciences or related areas in the social sciences. Experience in quantitative research methods and causal inferences using empirical data is essential. The ideal candidate should have an excellent track record of publications in leading international journals and demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching.
