A post doctoral fellow position is available to work on a project for stem cell therapies that target the central nervous system. We use a multidisciplinary approach that involves molecular biology, biochemical techniques and stem cell transplantation into mice that are predisposed to develop neurodegenerative diseases. We seek to identify the best sources of stem cells and determine the inflammatory components that contribute to the symptoms of these diseases.
Preferred Candidates will be a PhD or MD with a relevant background Ischemic Stroke Research with middle cerebral artery occlusion ( MCAO ) mouse model.
