POST-DOCTORAL RESEARCH FELLOW IN ETHNIC IDENTITY INTERVENTION

Full-Time 12-Month Position

As part of the T. Denny Sanford School of Social and Family Dynamics (http://thesanfordschool.asu.edu), and the new Latino Resilience Enterprise: Initiatives on Positive Youth Development & Healthy Family Relationships directed by Dr. Adriana Umaña-Taylor, the Identity Project invites applications for a 12-month Post-Doctoral Research Fellow starting as early as July 1, 2013 (for a two-year appointment). For this position, successful candidates must have a Ph.D. or equivalent in child development, psychology, social work, or a related field by time of appointment. This position entails working with faculty and graduate students on a project focused on developing and implementing an intervention with Latino adolescents focused on ethnic identity. Responsibilities include helping with project development and organization, managing ongoing data collection efforts, managing and analyzing cross-sectional and longitudinal data sets, supervising related research activities, and writing collaborative manuscripts and grants. The successful candidate must have evidence of expertise in intervention and/or ethnic identity. Candidates also must have strong quantitative skills and experience working with and analyzing longitudinal data sets. Additional desired qualifications include written and verbal fluency in Spanish, and experience conducting focus groups and analyzing qualitative data.
