Position Summary
The Evelyn F. McKnight Brain Institute at the University of Arizona invites applications from prospective postdoctoral scholars. Potential projects involve the use of advanced methods for parallel neural recording in conscious animals (primates and/or rodents) to study dynamic interactions of neural populations and/or neuronal activity mapping at cellular resolution using immediate-early gene imaging methods. Duties and Responsibilities
•Perform behavioral, electrophysiological and/or molecular biological experiments at a postdoctoral level under supervision of PI. * Analyze and summarize experimental results. * Submit experimental results for publication in peer-reviewed journals. * Present talks or posters at national or international scientific meetings. * Train and supervise research assistants (undergraduate, graduate, and technical staff) working on your research project, as well as on general laboratory policies and procedures.

Additional Minimum Qualifications
•Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Psychology or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
A strong background, including significant publications, in theoretical and/or systems neuroscience related to higher cerebral function at the neuronal level.
