Princeton University offers a postdoctoral fellowship in clinical/counseling psychology at Counseling and Psychological Services (CPS), which is part of University Health Services. CPS is accredited by the International Association of Counseling Services. This is a supervised 12 month term position starting on September 1, 2013. CPS places a high value on creatively serving a dynamic, diverse student population in a challenging academic environment. The fellowship provides supervised intensive clinical experience, an on-going training seminar, and weekly clinical case conferences. Post doctoral fellows provide time-sensitive individual, group, and couples psychotherapy; crisis intervention; psychological evaluations and inpatient management. Fellows participate as members of the alcohol and other drug, eating concerns and dialectical and behavior therapy (DBT) - informed treatment teams, and will be involved in psycho-educational outreach and liaison activities. Successful candidates must be able to work comfortably both individually and as team members, to provide effective services.

Essential Qualifications

Required: Completion of a clinical internship, preferably American Psychological Association (APA) - accredited experience that included treating severely troubled patients, and completion of all doctoral requirements from an APA-accredited program in clinical or counseling psychology.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred: Prior experience working in a university mental health service; experience treating patients with substance abuse problems, eating disorders, and/or trauma history; experience leading groups.

This is a full-time position from September 1 to August 31 with a salary of $35,000 plus benefits.

The stage was thus set long ago for Princeton\'s health service to champion care for the \"whole person.\" At present, the McCosh Health Center, along with its satellite health program (Athletic Medicine) housed in Caldwell Field House and Dillon Gymnasium, comprise the University Health Services (UHS).
