Our laboratory focuses on elucidation of mammalian prion replication mechanism. Ongoing studies include biochemical, molecular imaging, structural, cellular, neuropathological and experimental animal approaches to understand the mechanisms by which prions replicate, to elucidate molecular structure and define molecular features responsible for prion infectivity and prion strain diversity.
These positions are intended for highly motivated individuals with new or recent PhD in biochemistry, biophysics, structural biology, neuroscience, cell and molecular biology or related fields. Candidates with experience in one of the following areas are preferred: prions, membrane and lipid biology, neuropathology.
