Post-Doctoral Fellowship & Full-Time Employment in Clinical Psychology
The University of Montana Department of Psychology and Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital, Glasgow, Montana invites applicants for a full time, permanent position which will include one year of post-doctoral supervision. The successful applicant will be a participant in a program to place a team of full-time mental health professionals at FMDH, a Critical Access Hospital serving rural communities, by providing mental health assessment and treatment in collaboration with primary care providers in the patient centered medical home.

Applicants who have graduated with a PhD from an APA-accredited program in Clinical Psychology are eligible to apply for this position which begins between July 1 and September 1 depending on internship schedule. The successful applicant will be working toward Montana licensure as a psychologist and will be required to obtain licensure within eighteen months of starting the position. After licensure, this employee will be eligible to apply for student loan repayment through the National Health Service Corps; recipients could receive up to $40,000 in loan repayment after two years of full-time employment at Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital.
Each team will consist of a post-doctoral Psychology Resident and a pre-licensure Masters in Social Work. Via telemedicine and distance education, members will receive consultation and supervision from faculty and clinical staff at The University of Montana-Missoula. As employees of Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital, the team members will augment and extend mental health services available in the community, and will assist in providing continuity of care and wrap-around services to patients seen at the hospital.
This is a full time, permanent position with a pre-licensure salary of $40,000, full benefits including health insurance and a student loan repayment benefit.
